Referrers Analytics

The Referrers section within your website's Analytics in Static.app offers a granular view of your inbound traffic by pinpointing the exact web page or URL that directed visitors to your site. While "Referring Sites" shows you the domain, "Referrers" gives you the precise link, which is invaluable for understanding specific content or campaigns driving traffic.

How to Access Referrers Analytics

  1. Log in to your Static.app dashboard.
  2. Select the specific website project whose analytics you wish to view from your Sites page.
  3. Navigate to the Analytics section from your website's dashboard menu.
  4. From the Analytics dashboard, select the "Referrers" tab or link to view the detailed breakdown of exact traffic sources.

What You'll See in Referrers Analytics

The Referrers Analytics page lists the full URLs that have sent visitors to your site, along with key performance metrics for each:

  • Site: The complete URL of the page that referred traffic to your site (e.g., https://www.blog.example.com/2023/10/popular-post.html , https://twitter.com/yourbrand/status/12345 ).
  • Visitors: The number of unique visitors who arrived at your site from this specific referring URL. This helps you identify which specific pages are most effective at driving individual interest.
  • Hits: The total number of requests (or "hits") made to your website by visitors originating from this particular referring URL. This shows the overall engagement originating from that precise source.
  • Bandwidth: The total amount of data transferred (in MB or GB) to visitors who arrived via this referring URL. This can highlight if specific linking pages lead to higher content consumption.
